O.J. book deal goes up in smoke...

Rupert Murdock, the King of Sleaze, backed off the deal to publish the O.J. book. And the only reason he backed off was money. The advertisers did not want to be associated with the Fox stations running the Judith Regan/O.J. interview.

This latest development has caused great rejoicing in the publishing industry where Judith Regan is hated with a passion. Her contempt for her colleagues in the publishing industry is well known. Many saw her move from New York to LA/Hollywood earlier this year as a way of expressing this contempt.

Those of us who have had any dealing with publishers in recent years know this industry has been going downward into the sewer. Ms. Regan was one of the people leading the way. It will be interesting to see if she can make a comeback.
